BAM Nuttall and OnSite Support to develop fitted PPE for women

BAM Nuttall has teamed up with leading PPE supplier OnSite Support to create a range of properly fitting PPE designed especially for women.

OnSite Support carefully researched the market and discovered that women’s clothing within the construction industry consisted largely of oversized shoes and baggy jackets which were not only uncomfortable to wear but in some circumstances could be dangerous and lead to accidents. It was also discovered that little or no consultation had taken place with female construction workers to see what type of PPE design would be the most appropriate.

As a major supplier to civil engineering contractor BAM Nuttall, OnSite Support organised a feedback session where woman from all branches of the company where able to try on the garments and give comments and opinions on the design and practicality of the products.

Following the feedback session the intention is to create a practical range of well designed PPE for women that will provide a high degree of comfort and safety. These will be available soon for the benefit of  the whole industry.
